All offers for pilots
01. training course
Training usually starts with a taster course lasting 1-2 days. Here you get a first impression of paragliding and do your first exercises on the ground as well as small jumps.
02. basic course
In a basic course, which usually lasts 3-5 days, you will learn the basics of glider control, take-off, landing and small flights in gentle terrain. You will be familiarised with the equipment and do simple flying exercises.
03. altitude flight training
After the basic course, you will move on to altitude training, where you will carry out longer flights under supervision. This involves practising take-offs, turning techniques and landings in different wind conditions. This phase usually lasts several weeks to months, depending on how often you can fly.
04. theory courses
In addition to practical training, there are also theory courses. Here you will learn important topics such as meteorology, aerodynamics, flight law, material science and behaviour in emergencies. Theory is essential in order to understand the flying conditions and safety precautions.
05. theory courses
The training ends with two examinations. Theoretical examination: The content learnt in the theory courses is tested here. These exams must be completed before the practical exam. Practical exam: You must be able to perform various manoeuvres and flights safely under the supervision of SHV experts. This includes take-offs, landings, turns and behaviour in emergency situations.
06. brevet (flying licence)
After passing the exams, you will receive the SHV licence, which allows you to fly independently in Switzerland and many other countries.
