A thermal flight refers to paragliding or gliding in which the pilot utilises thermal updrafts to gain height and enable longer flights. Thermal updrafts occur when solar radiation heats the earth's surface unevenly, causing air masses to rise. Pilots look for these thermal updrafts to keep themselves in the air, extend flight duration and cover long distances by gliding from one thermal to the next.
A tandem flight is a form of paragliding in which two people - an experienced pilot and a passenger - fly together on a specially designed paraglider. The passenger is attached in front of the pilot in a special harness, allowing them to enjoy the flight without any prior experience or extensive training.
We fly all year round, except in cases of dense fog, precipitation or strong winds. Before each departure, the pilot carefully checks the weather because safety is our top priority. Therefore, it may happen that schedules have to be postponed or adjusted, which means the flight takes a little longer.
